our creative process : web insight
having a credible site
One sure way of losing a viewer is to lack credibility.
How many sites have you been to that may have said all the right things, BUT they quickly lost your confidence in them because of broken links, amateur design, lack of navigation direction or by outdated information?
You need to make people trust you. You can't do that by simply saying "trust me" — but you can establish credibility with:
- Perfect navigation
- Plenty of worthwhile content
- A well-known brand (i.e. Showing logos of VeriSign, Bank of America, Barnes & Noble, or any other famous company they are associated with. Legitimately, of course.
- Appropriate, user-friendly design
- Identity on every page
- A real sense of the people and premises
- Testimonials
- A secure order form
- A big, strong money-back guarantee
- A privacy policy
- Terms of trade
- Good writing and perfect proofreading
- Friendly persuasion
- Update content frequently
- Links to other web site
Please note that these are items we always consider when developing a site and take care of on our end, as applicable to each of our clients.
